Pro-GNA militias conduct operations in Warshaffana - November 14

Confrontations  occurred  in  Warshaffana  between  the  pro - Government  of  National  Accord  (GNA)  armed  coalition  and  Warshaffana  militias  during  the  course  of  the  week.  Meanwhile,  the  search  continued  in  South  Libya  for  the  foreign  workers  abducted  last  week,  but  with  no  results.

Dialogue Committee fails to reach an agreement on contentious LPA articles - October 24

The past week was marked by the apparent failure of the negotiations between House of Representatives (HoR) and Government of National Accord (GNA) representatives on amendments to the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA) as the two parties were unable to reach a compromise on the contentious issues of the LPA. Meanwhile, other reports suggested that Saif Al-Islam may be preparing a political comeback.

Islamic State suicide bombers target Misrata courthouse - October 10

This week was marked by a suicide bomb attack carried out by fighters affiliated with the Islamic State (IS), targeting the Misrata courthouse. Meanwhile, new disruptions were reported at Sharara oilfield as a youth group from Southern Libya blocked the roads leading to the oilfield to protest the worsening of living conditions in Southern Libya.
